Us too - notes2.exe crashes on d2d1.dll

We have been seeing the same crash with identical event viewer log entry. All on laptops with W7 Pro , notes 8.5.3 , 8.5.3 FP1 and 8.5.3 FP2. Been seeing it for about 3 or 4 weeks , possibly since the last raft of MS office 2010 updates which started to get applied during sept or oct. I have opened a service request with IBM who so far asked me to disable hardware acceleration on the video driver ( not possible on the affected pcs which are all laptops with various video acceleration s/w / drivers which dont allow disablement. So they asked me to try selecting Win7 basic theme which doesnt heavily use accelaration - still crashes. Waiting to hear back since i reported not fixed
